The renowned drupad performer Ustad Fahim-ud-din Khan Daggar, in an
interactive session with S.K Saxena, the musicologist, explains, with the
help of demonstrations, the various stages of drupad. He explains its
meaning, objectives, elements and nuance. Ālāpa the initiation aims
at bringing out the specific traits of the rāga. Music has its own
grammar, and Fahim-ud-din explains the basic concepts and language of
music. This interactive DVD presents deeper understanding of classical
Indian music - the Śāstrīya Saṅgīta.
