The centre holds lectures periodically on art, literature, history, philosophy and science. Details are as follows:

Dr. S. Kalyanaraman spoke on the historical reasons for the disappearance and rediscovery of River Saraswati.

 

Dr. S.R. Rao explained the discovery at Dwaraka, Lothal and other sites in Gujarat. 



Justice M. Rama Jois gave a talk on ‘The Eternal Values of Manusmriti’.



Satavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh introduced the aesthetic aspects of The Poetic Culture of Kalidasa. This was a three day lecture.



Prof. S.K. Ramachandra Rao spoke on Abhinavagupta.



Dr. Shakuntala Narasimhan read abstracts from her book Kamaladevi Chattopadyaya - a Romantic Rebel.



Prof. A. Sundara spoke on new findings in Pre-historic art and its relevance in South India and Karnataka.



Dr. A.R. Mitra drew attention to the Poetic Language of Kannada Literature with special reference to Pampa, Allama & Kumaravyasa.



Prof. Peri Bhaskararao, spoke on Cultural Information from Oral Texts: The Narration of the Pïs-ïtt rites ['social paternity rites'] of the Todas of the Nilagiris
