CHAMPA PARGI BHIL ARTIST of RAJASTHAN Video Clip: Champa Pargi on Gavari - Part 01 | Part 02 | her Paintings | Champa Pargi with Makka Champa Pargi learnt the art of mandno from her parents. During Dipavali and on weddings she used to paint on walls using brushes she made from the roots of the khankher tree. She was happy to find that her husband Phula Pargi was an artist. A recurring theme in her painting is the uncertainty of life – a deer unaware of the bear behind her; a cowherd with his cattle, unaware of the stalking tiger. She paints each cow in different colours to portray individuality. She has depicted Inya Parvat in its various stages. A long time ago Inya Parvat was green but now the trees are disappearing. Another motif in her painting is the Gavri dance.
