PREMI PARGI
BHIL ARTIST of RAJASTHAN
Premi Pargi, Dhula Pargi’s wife, started painting after her marriage. Her favourite theme is animals, both domestic as well as wild. She has drawn shepherds with their sheep and cowherds tending cows in different moods. The shepherd sleeps, while the sheep are ready to go home. A cowherd forces the cows to go out to graze. Premi Pargi mostly draws on paper and through her line work, captures her subjects’ emotions very well.
